Welcome to my new Deviant Art site. I finally got around to making one. Thank you all for checking out my artwork. I am new here and I am still getting used to this site. There will be much more to come.
I am alive and well.Sorry for the lack of updates. I cant believe how much time has passed! The last few of months I've been in college completing my first year welding course. I am happy to say I passed with excellent marks. Completing this training is very important to me. Once I become a Journeyman welder I will make a very good living. Given the state of the worlds economy I can't past up an opportunity like this, especially when my company is paying for my training.
About December, 21, 2012
So the date has finally arrived. In the story Post-Nuke the Nuclear war broke out in 2012. Way back in 2003 when I started Post-Nuke very few people actually heard about 2012. Little did I know at the time that it would become one of the most mistranslated, blown out of proportion dates of all time. No where in the Mayan texts does it actually say on this day the world ends. The truth is the Mayans never predicted the world was going to end on December 21 2012. It was the date on which their long count calender en
My new job! Its been a while but I do have great news! The last 6 months I've been working at my new job as a first year welders apprentice. The company I work for makes large oil field storage tanks. I love working there and I work with some great co-workers. I also enjoy welding. I see it as a form of art, but instead off a pencil I have a rod shooting out sparks and intense ultraviolet radiation. I have 2 and a half years left of my training and schooling to become a Journeyman welder. Then I'll make a very nice living. It's my back up career if my Art career doesn't work out.
The great news is, I finally got a great weekend position I've been waiting for all this time. I work 3days Friday to Sunday and get the other 4 days off! I work 12hr days, which gives me 36hrs in 3 days. They give 4 bonus hours free to bring it up to 40hrs needed for full time. The 4 extra hours is also an incentive to get people working weekends. Most people do
I'm back!Hello everyone! Yes I am still alive and well, very well actually. First I want to apologize for my long hiatus. I certainly didn't expect it to last this long. There was a lot going on in my life this past year. I was focused on my full time job and saving money. I also bought a nice little house! I was renting a small bed room that barely had enough room for my computer, let alone elbow space to draw. It is very nice to have one room set aside just for my art studio. There was quit a bit of paper worked involved buying a house. Setting up all the services also took sometime. I had to wait a month just for my internet to be hooked up. Ridiculous wait time if you ask me. But I am now all set-up and settled in.
As for post-nuke comics, its not over yet. I have been working on new comic pages when I have the chance. I had hoped I'd be done the story by now, but my full time job interferes a lot. I only have a few hours a night to work on it. So its been very slow going. However I do have
It's alive, ALIVE!!! Muahahaha... I finally had time to put my new computer together. I turned it on last week and everything works! Everything just came together and worked with no problems. This was one of the easiest computer builds I've done. I really enjoyed this computer build. There is just nothing more gratifying then picking out all your own computer parts, putting it all together and watching it come to life. But building your own computer is not for the faint of heart. You really should know what your doing. My heart was actually starting to pound when it finally came time to push the power button. I was just concerned that something may be faulty. Warranty would cover it, (well unless I brake it) but to get a replacement part could delay everything for weeks! So I was very ecstatic when it fired up and everything worked. The Bios detected all the hardware and my mobo on board diagnostic display said everything is working as it sho
More computer hardware!I'm finally back. Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been very busy these last few weeks at my full job. Had to deal with some BS at my work, nearly quit my job. But the problem has been solved and things are going better now.
I also had some major problems with my wireless Internet. It was getting very unstable. The problem got worse and worse until it stopped working. The tech guy came out and fix it. It turns out when they installed the antenna it was winter and there were no leaves on the trees. Now that its summer the leaves came out and blocked the signal. They added a dish to the antenna to amplify the signal. Now my Internet works great again.
Back to my computer build. I finally received all my parts last week, but I haven't had time to put it all together yet. I have three days off this weekend, so I hope to finally get it up and running. Here is an image of my newest parts.
I decided to get an
Received some more computer hardware! So I finally received some of my new computer hardware. It is taking a little longer to get my hardware together then I originally thought. When I first budgeted this new computer I was not planning to get the best of the best, but I decided not to cheap out and go for gold, or in my case go for broke! I have to sacrifice one more paycheck and then I can finally have this thing up and running.
This was a big shipment. I went with the Cooler Master HAF 932 computer tower. I needed a big case to hold all the big computer hardware. I also needed High Air Flow to keep all the parts cool. Im very pleased with this case. It is very well designed and there is a lot of room for customizing. I like the look of it and it was also very affordable.
I was told by a lot of people that the Intel Core i7 processor runs hot
Started to build my new dream machine! Im really excited my new mobo (motherboard) EVGA X58 Classified and Intel Core i7 Processor just arrived! My old computer is now seriously getting out dated. My current computer was my first custom build computer, it has served me very well over the years. But it is now maxed out. I cant speed it up or add anymore to it, and its really starting to lag behind. So now the time has come to build a new mean machine. Ive been doing a lot of research and planning for this new computer for awhile now. I finally saved up enough to start buying parts and putting it all together. This is not a gaming computer, its over kill for games. Im designing something that can handle high-level CGI graphics and HD video production. I know it may not look like it at the moment with my lack of
Work Work WorkSorry I haven't been around much lately. I've been really busy at my new full time job. Like I mentioned before I've been training for my new file maintenance position. There was a lot to learn, only about 30000 products I need to literally memories and know where they are in the store. Yup, they nearly melted my brain... but I think I finally got it all down now and feel confident to work on my own with out screwing up. So now hopefully I can get back into a normal routine and finish off my comic pages.
The good thing is I finally saved up some money to build my new computer system. My current computer was top of the line when I first built it 7 years ago, but now its just getting to out dated. I'll be talking more about that when my new computer parts arrive very soon.
My new job is going very well.Well my new full time job has been eating up a lot of my time, but it is going very well to well actually. I work in a grocery warehouse. I could have a lot of other jobs, but I picked this job because I wanted a low stress job that had flexible hours so I can work on my side projects. That was the plan anyway. However since I have computer skills I was given another position in file maintenance. So now I'm working two positions. This whole last week I was training for the new office position. I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. It is a fairy large grocery store and I have a lot to learn and memorize. I don't think I ever tried to learn so much in one week. It was a bit exhausting and I'm glad I have the next two days off. I have one more week of training then I should be back to my normal routine.

If you are waiting for an app review, rest assured, it is coming! I am trying to be detailed so it takes a while for me to write. Please refrain from sending notes/additional comments.
To current members, as you might have noticed, the gold journal is marked as outdated. I am planning to rebalance the gold system. It would be to your advantage to wait before submitting drawings for gold until the update is released (you are free to submit to the gallery, but I'd advise you to stall adding it on the site).

I will still post pictures from time to time (and I won't delete any of my work!) but please do not make any effort to contact me over here. You can follow/contact me through any of the sites below.
